Only 2 more days left of Kids Heart Challenge!!

We’ve set a goal to create a community of lifesavers by getting everyone to complete Finn’s Mission and learn Hands-Only CPR. When given immediately, Hands-Only CPR can double (or even triple) a person’s chance of surviving cardiac arrest. If you haven’t done it yet, complete Finn’s Mission today to learn this lifesaving skill and earn special thank-you gifts.

New Policy for 2026-2027

Providing students and staff with access to a safe and secure school environment is an important Board goal. While it is not possible for the District to completely eliminate threats, a clear bag policy is another step in the District's comprehensive plan to promote a safe learning environment for all students and staff. Beginning with the 2026-2027 school year, all backpacks used by students must be clear. Clear bags are completely clear on all sides except the bottom, but they may have mesh side pockets and/or a mesh organizer in the front pocket. Clear bags may also have colored straps and may have leather or vinyl edge reinforcements so long as visibility is not obstructed. Mesh, sling, and transparent colored bags are not allowed. Clear bags may not be lined with fabric, paint, or any other material that conceals its contents.

Upon entry into the school, all extracurricular activity bags must be stored in lockers or other designated areas. All bags are subject to search. Clear backpacks may be purchased through any retailer. Students who violate this policy will be required to store their bags in the school office for the remainder of the day. Consequences for recurring violations will be administered in accordance with Board Policy 7:190, Student Behavior.

Students and bags will continue to go through metal detector upon entering the school.
