It was a FRIVolous Day in the Computer Lab!!! It is Brain Break Week in the Lab, since we are concentrating so hard on the IAR Test. Students got to kick back, talk to friends, and play games, giving our brains some time to rest and be ready for the next test! It was a great day in the Computer Lab!

8th Grade Parents: Dear 8th Grade Parents and Guardians, Can you believe that Graduation is just a few months away? How exciting for all of you. As you may know, there is a standing tradition here at Field School to have a slide show playing before graduation. This presentation showcases each graduate and shares 3 pictures of them, usually infant, lower grades, and current. In years past, a parent or a company has created the presentation, but this year we will be doing something completely different. I am asking that you send in 3 pictures (school appropriate) of your student that you would like shared in the presentation. I will be incorporating technology lessons while creating this presentation – so that means the presentation this year will be made by your student. Students will be learning to scan documents and photos and incorporating those photos into a google slide presentation. So, NEXT WEEK– please send 3 pictures of your student to Mrs. Clark. Make sure that your student’s name is on each picture. Please sent them in a zip lock bag, so that they stay together. You will get the pictures back as we finish with the project. I look forward to helping your child work on this project, and I can’t wait for you to see the finished project at Graduation. NOTE: Since we are completing the project ourselves, I will also be able to share the project with you via email after graduation. Can’t wait to see all the pictures come in!! Mrs. Clark

Pictures needed of 8th Grade Students
Good morning! As you may have read earlier this week, K-8 will be participating in a school wide Service Project - creating a quilt block. After the quilt block is made, I will put the 3 quilts together to send to Love Quilt Project. Those quilts will be sent to a child who has suffered loss (South Africa, and I am hoping Ukraine Refugees). The blocks that are not made into quilts, will be sent to Love Quilt Project and they will use them to make quilts there. I will update you at a later date on how many quilts will be made and donated by Field School. I am really excited about this service project and the kids are as well. How can you help: * I need Cotton Fabrics - if you have any scraps we could use - I would love it! * I need a few parents who would be willing to press the fabrics I have. You can take them and return them to me folded. * If any of you have a sewing or quilting background and would like to cut 2.5 in strips of fabric for me that would be a great help as well. You can email me here at Field School. dclark@fieldpanthers.com or call 755-4611 I am so excited about this! What a life lesson we are teaching these students. Thanks in advance Mrs. Clark

After recently studying the Constitution with Mrs. Hayes in History, Mrs. Clark’s 7B Computer Class got to see politics and government in action. Mrs. Clark participated in a meeting with Senator Duckworth’s office advocating for a change in the rising costs of prescription medications. These 7th Grade Students were able to listen in on the meeting, bringing the recent history unit to a real world situation.

If lunches are free right now, why am I getting low lunch balance emails? This is a common question we receive, and it is actually a setting on the parent side of Teacherease. Here's how you can change that setting: Go to Parent Main > Miscellaneous > Communication Preferences Check the Low Lunch Balance notifications Change the Low Balance Threshold to 0.00, or disable it completely Save
