Mrs. Dethrow's 3rd grade enjoyed a visit from branch manager, Marcie Caldwell of Fairfield National Bank of Wayne City today. The students asked lots of great questions and learned how valuable banks are to our communities.

Registration Packets for next school year are being sent home this week. Please pay special attention to the following forms:
- OTC Medication Authorization: This form is optional and can be turned in at any time. We do highly encourage completion of this form at your student's next doctor visit.
- Residency Verification Form: Two documents are required - one from each category.
Please return the Registration Form, Residency Form (with the required documentation), and the Student Health Inventory by APRIL 26TH. Call the office at 618.755.4611 if you have any questions. Thank you!
Guardians of Kindergarten, 2nd Graders, and & 6th Graders:
All Illinois children in kindergarten, Grade 2, Grade 6, and Grade 9 are required to have an oral health examination.
○ This is required for all public, private, and parochial schools.
○ Examinations must be performed by a licensed dentist, and he/she must sign the Proof of School Dental Examination form.
○ Each child is required to present proof of examination by a dentist prior to May 15 of the school year.
• School dental examinations must have been completed within the 18 months prior to the May 15 deadline.
Please submit form upon completion to the school office.
7th grade life science students recently built DNA models using colored marshmallows to represent nitrogen bases and twizzlers to represent the phosphate backbone. Some of them were able to use their model to also build a model strand of mRNA in the process of transcription.
Congratulations to Mrs. Hallam’s 1st grade for bringing in the most cereal boxes for the cereal box drive!! They celebrated today with an ice cream party!

Hey, Field Families - Just a quick reminder that Spring Picture Day is tomorrow, April 12th!
Mrs. Clark's 1st Grade Class celebrated the Eclipse with Moon Pies and Capri Sun. They also painted shirts to wear on Eclipse Day. Not only did they have lessons on the Eclipse, but they learned about blending colors and how different ways we use the paint brush changes what we see on the shirt.
Solar Eclipse Day, of course Mrs.Miller’s class is going to party! Thanks to the parents for donating the snacks. You have no idea how much I appreciate all you do. 🌞🕶️

Ms. George and Mrs. Dethrow's 3rd grade classes learned all about the Solar Eclipse this morning and made some cool UV necklaces to learn all about the sun's rays! We are so excited for today! 💙💛
